The Bell X-1 was a rocket engine powered aircraft, research techniques used for the X-1 program became the pattern for all subsequent X-craft projects. The X-1 project assisted the postwar cooperative union between U.S. military needs, industrial capabilities and research facilities. Kit features engraved panel lines, detailed cockpit with photoetch (seatbelts, instrument panel, consoles, door handles and other cockpit interior), single piece canopy, mask, detailed undercarriage with (photoetch and resin wheels).
