The Yakovlev Yak-3 was a World War II Soviet fighter aircraft, it was one of the smallest and lightest major combat fighters fielded by any combatant during the war. Marcel Albert, World War II French ace, who flew the Yak in USSR with the Normandie-Niemen Group, considered it a superior aircraft when compared to the P-51D Mustang and the Supermarine Spitfire. Kit has engraved panel lines, detailed cockpit with (photoetch seatbelts) and resin (rudder pedals and RSI-4 radio), additional resin accents (machine gun muzzles, gun charging handle and exhaust stacks), separate propeller blades, segmented canopy, mask, detailed wheel wells and optional undercarriage with resin (wheels).
