1/12 scale. Team Lotus Type 49B 1968. Tamiya. The Lotus 49 was a Formula One racing car designed by Colin Chapman and Maurice Philippe for the 1967 F1 season. The Team Lotus Type 49B evolution debuted in the third race of the 1968 Formula One racing season. Type 49B would make driver Graham Hill and Lotus champions as the British team overcame the devastating loss of mercurial driver Jim Clark. Kit features detailed drivers interior with driver figure, engine complete with fuel pipe and plug wire details, transmission, radiator, water and oil pumps, moveable front/rear suspension with metal coil springs, rubber tires with accurate tread patterns, photoetched parts for (seatbelts, brake discs, radiator and other parts), transfers for emblems and meters and metal air funnels, includes parts to recreate high rear wing, plus the high front wing as seen in the 1969 South African Grand Prix. Molded in gray, black and white with chrome plated parts. Decals and markings for Team Lotus #10 Hill - includes Black Lotus nose badge used after Clark's death, mask, seatbelts and interior gauges.
