Description:
Compact Polikarpov-built 1930s - WWII fighter, upgraded variant with tailwheel and 750 hp Shvetsov M-25 radial engine. Kit features recessed panel lines and excellent surface detail, full cockpit, detailed landing gear and wheel wells. Also has photo-etch parts (including radiator louvers, color instrument panel and seatbelts) plus painting masks (for windscreen and wheels). Decals for 5 VVS aircraft: 22nd IAP, 2nd Lt Katalov, Nomonhan, Mongolia, summer 1939; 'White 43', Leningrad Area, summer 1941; 191st IAP, 1st. Lt Gennadiy S. Zhuikov, summer 1941; 84th IAP, Capt A A Khudiakov, Caucasus, Soviet Union, 1942 and 4th, GIAP KBF, Mikhail Ya. Vasiliev, spring 1942.
