1/72 scale. Spitfire Mk.IX Free French. Italeri. The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries during and after the Second World War. This version first became operational in March 1943 with the Biggin Hill Wing, comprised at the time of 611 and 341 (Free French) Squadrons and was by far the most produced of the Spitfire IX variants. Kit features engraving surface detail, detailed cockpit, detailed wheel wells and landing gear, semi-elliptical or clipped wingtips, multi piece canopy, separately molded four-piece propeller blades with separate spinner. Decals and markings for four (4) aircraft: S/Lt. Pierre Clostermann, RAF 602 Squadron, 'Glasgow City' June 1944; S/Lt. Raphael Lombaert, 329 Free French Squadron, Groupe 'Cigognes' August 1944; S/Chief Denys Boudard, 340 Free French Squadron, Groupe 'IIe-de-France' 6 June 1944 and 341 Free French Squadron, Groupe 'Alsace' June 1944 - includes instrument panel.
