Product Code:

1/164 scale. Boeing B-52H Stratofortress "Bomber Barons." Wood Desktop Model. Mastercraft Models. Length: 11.75 inches; Wingspan: 13.5 inches. As the last variant of the outstanding Stratofortess series, the B-52H is expected to have the best toys. A simple hint for this was that the airplane was quoted at around $9.28 million when it was introduced in 1962 but 36 years later, it was quoted at around $53.4 million. A continuous effort for improvement was the thing that drove up its price. The Conventional Enhancement Modification program brought on a huge change on the B-52H design. The strategic bomber was equipped with a greater range of weaponry, which included: (1) modified underwing weapon pylons, (2) the Harpoon and Have Nap, (3) the AGM-154 glide bomb, and (4) the AGM-158 JASSM missile. Aside from armaments, the B-52H Stratofortess was also one of the first aircrafts to be powered by alternative fuel. On August 2007, the plane was approved to use a blend of Fischer-Tropsch process (FT) synthetic fuel and conventional JP-8 jet fuel. Of course, the plane wasn't just all names and numbers; it performed even during the early stages. In fact, the B-52H set in 1962 a world distance record of unrefueled flying at 12,532.28 miles (10,895 nautical miles). This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
